Three thatched chalets and a family suite with two bedrooms, all have a spectacular view of the Kalahari Desert and the vineyards of the Orange River Valley. We do not serve drinks; you are welcome to bring your own. A shaded braai (BBQ) area is situated close to the chalets. Eric was raised in an Indonesian kitchen and is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. Dining at the Overlook will be an unforgettable experience. All units also have equipped kitchenettes, should you prefer to cater for yourself. Breakfast is available at any time at an additional R75 per person. Lunches and dinners are available by reservation only. Arrangements for lunch or dinner should be made at least 24 hours in advance. We are looking forward to being your hosts in the last truly untamed territory in sunny South Africa. Our family suite consists of two bedrooms, a dining room with kitchenette and a shower room. It is very spacious, with beds for five and a sleeper couch. Kitchen food scraps are anaerobically composted into highly enriched organic soil. Grey water and biological waste is digested with Bokashi microorganisms to achieve an environmentally friendly effluent with biodigesters, creating no green house gasses. All natural microbiology is the catalyst, making a positive environmental difference by substantially reducing our carbon footprint.
